Resilience Begins
with Closeness

While the world moves further apart, we are tracing new paths to stay close. We believe that community resilience is not built with barriers, but with gatherings, warmth, and shared responsibility. From homes, from streets, from neighborhoods – we begin.

What is Jiwar?

Jiwar is a grassroots Arab initiative established to enhance psychological and social resilience in times of crisis and transformation. We create circles of closeness, embrace stories, and build connections that provide safety, knowledge, and belonging.

Where Change Starts From

Stories and Experiences

Honestly, it was an absolutely wonderful gathering. I didn’t want it to end because I felt she was truly giving us so much. I benefited from her and her experience, and she also opened my eyes to things about myself that I wasn’t aware of. Now, I have a clear idea of how to deal with obstacles if they happen, and I now have knowledge and ready solutions for how to handle them in all their forms.

I feel more responsible now and have become more open to new things I didn’t know before. The approach was wonderful and delivered so smoothly. I didn’t want to know anything about managing my finances, but today, after the meeting, I know that I am capable, that nothing is too hard for me, and that I can learn and reach the information I need.

Today’s gathering was truly amazing. The young woman really gave us ideas on how to manage things, even how to train our kids to take on responsibility. Honestly, it was such a rich and beneficial meeting, and I’ve already started applying the ideas she shared with us in other meetings with her. May God bless her!

May God bless you all for your tireless and outstanding work. It was truly engaging and inspiring. I wish for continuity in this high level of awareness in all areas of life where we need participation and creating impact in others.
